# OpenAPI viewer

> Browse OpenAPI and Swagger specs inside Tierity, from a URL, a file or a GitHub repository.

## Overview

The OpenAPI viewer lets your team read API specs without leaving Tierity, which helps when reviewing a pull request that changes an API or assessing an endpoint a finding points at. It needs no credentials.

## Adding a spec

Enable **OpenAPI / Swagger** under **Config → Integrations**, then open it from the sidebar and add a spec in one of three ways:

* **URL:** paste the address of a JSON or YAML spec.
* **Upload:** choose a spec file from your computer.
* **GitHub:** pick a repository and the spec's path. This uses your [GitHub integration](https://docs.tierity.com/integrations/github.md).

OpenAPI 3.x and Swagger 2.0 specs are supported.

## Viewing

Specs open in Swagger UI: endpoints grouped by tag, with parameters, request bodies, responses and schemas for each.
