# Organizations

> An organization is your team's workspace in Tierity: the container for members, integrations, findings and settings.

## What is an organization?

An organization is the top-level workspace in Tierity. Members, integrations, findings and settings all belong to one. Data is fully isolated between organizations.

**Tierity Cloud (tierity.com):** every new account gets its own organization on the free plan, with the new user as its admin. Teammates join it by invitation or domain auto-join.

**Self-hosted:** the setup wizard creates the first organization and its admin. Most instances need only one; server administrators can create more to separate departments or business units.

## Inviting members

Admins invite teammates from **Config → Team**:

1. Click **Invite Member**.
2. Enter their email address and choose a [role](https://docs.tierity.com/concepts/roles-permissions.md).
3. Send the invitation.

The invitation email links to the sign-in page; the person signs in with an emailed code and joins your organization.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Invitations expire after 7 days. Pending invitations are listed on the Team tab, and the organizations page shows how many are outstanding.

## Domain auto-join

Anyone who signs up with an email at one of your domains can join your organization automatically.

1. Go to **Config → Team**.
2. Under **Domain-Based Auto-Join**, add your company's email domain (for example `example.com`).
3. Save.

> [!WARNING]
>
> Only add domains that your organization exclusively controls.

## Organization settings

All organization settings live under **Config** in the sidebar:

| Tab | What's there |
| - | - |
| **General** | Name, logo, AI instructions for your organization, and API keys |
| **Team** | Members, roles, invitations, domain auto-join and 2FA requirement |
| **Integrations** | Connect and configure the tools Tierity pulls from |
| **AI Providers** | Your keys (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google) or your own models (Ollama, OpenAI-compatible) for the AI assistant |
| **Runners** | Scan runners for your organization |
| **Admin** | SLA policies and other organization-wide policy |

Which tabs you see depends on your [role](https://docs.tierity.com/concepts/roles-permissions.md).

## Plans

| Plan | For | Limits |
| - | - | - |
| **Free** | Trying Tierity or a single engineer | 1 seat, 3 connected repos, 1 scan at a time |
| **Team** | Security teams | Up to 20 seats, unlimited repos and scans, plus SIEM egress, audit log export and scheduled reports |
| **Enterprise** | Larger programs | Unlimited seats, plus SSO, custom roles and cross-organization management |

The AI assistant is bring-your-own-key on every plan, and API access is never restricted by plan. See [Billing](https://docs.tierity.com/admin/billing.md) and the [pricing page](https://tierity.com/pricing).

## Switching organizations

If you belong to several organizations, use the organization switcher in the sidebar. Your role can differ in each one.

## Removing members

1. Go to **Config → Team**.
2. Open the menu next to the member and choose **Remove**.

Removed members lose access immediately. Their past activity stays in the audit log.
